In the TB-603 test, the total heat released by the mattress equals or exceeds 25 mega-joules within 10 minutes of ignition. The peak heat released by the mattress equals or exceeds 200 kilowatts within the 30 minute test period.
Under this standard, the mattress must be fire resistant, even in the open-flame.
